Dixie selection issue
Hi guys,
I have a dixie 501 I believe, 9 can selection,Multi priced,Im fairly new to vending. everything WAS working great, but then a can got jammed in selection 9, so i unjammed the can and now the machine is still saying "try another selection", but the slot it full, what are some additional steps I need to take to fix this issue? any ideas would be great!! thanks guys hope to hear from you guys.
ubiboi,
Since everything was fine before the jam it has either re-jammed again or you may have knocked some the wires off on the motor/cam assembly.
First unplug the machine and count to ten and plug it back in.(People laugh at me for this but you would be suprised how often it works.)
Second take out all of the cans or bottles. Check for a jam. Load 9 cans or 6 bottles back in. Make sure your cam switch is in it's 'home'
position, that is it should be down in a notch on the cam.
Third check all of the wire connections to the motor and cam micro-switches. Test vend the motor using "motor test" from the SIID control board, the instructions should be printed on your inner door. If you have checked all of the above and the motor won't test vend you probably have a burnt out motor :(
let me know if this helps,
